5 Style & Beauty Lessons You Can Learn From Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie has come a long way from being Paris Hilton's bad girl BFF. These days, the mother-of-two is best known for her signature boho-chic style. In addition to designing for her House of Harlow accessories collection and Winter Kate clothing line, her sartorial sense recently earned her a spot as a judge on the upcoming NBC reality series, Fashion Star. In honor of Richie's 30th birthday, here are the top five ways to emulate her look.
1. Go for comfort and style. Though she always looks put-together, Richie insists it's more about feeling good than keeping up with the trends. "Comfort takes precedence for me," she has said. "All the shoes I design have a cushion and a platform."
2. Stock up on shades. The star has admitted to owning more than 200 pairs of sunglasses. "But in my defense," she told Teen Vogue, "I make sunglasses, so I have to research-shop, and I own every pair I've ever designed." The designer views sunglasses as "fun masks to accessorize your face."
3. Build on the basics. When she's not wearing a killer gown on the red carpet, Richie's go-to outfit is jeans and a tee, "But you change the look with accessories," she shares. "And by accessories, I mean sunglasses, head scarves, shoes and bed jackets."
4. Experiment with your hair. When Richie debuted a dark brown color in December 2009, she told Us Weekly she did it because she was "ready for a change." "I change my hair color all the time, and I hadn't done it in a few years," she said. "With the babies, I just really hadn't had time. I'm so used to having that change all the time, and I hadn't done it in about two years, so I was just ready and sick of being blonde!"

Heidi Klum deemed most dangerous celeb in cyberspace
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Supermodel and TV host Heidi Klum was named on Thursday as the most dangerous celebrity in cyberspace, inviting malware and viruses to flourish on computers.
Internet security firm McAfee said searching for downloads and screensavers for the "Project Runaway" judge and former Victoria's Secret model runs a nearly one in 10 chance of landing on a malicious website with spyware, spam, phishing and other viruses designed to steal personal information.
CNN talk show host Piers Morgan, also a judge on "America's Got Talent" and a former British tabloid newspaper editor, was the most dangerous male celebrity in the survey, produced annually by McAfee.
McAfee said cyber criminals often used the name of popular celebrities to lure people to websites that are laden with malicious software.
It said singers and sports stars tended to be safer searches than movie stars and models. Cameron Diaztopped the cyberspace danger list in 2010, and was No. 2 this year.
"While slightly safer than last year, searching for top celebrities continues to generate risky results," said Paula Greve, director of Web security research at McAfee.
"Consumers should be particularly aware of malicious content hiding in 'tiny' places likes shortened URLs that can spread virally in social networking sites, or through e-mails and text messages."
Making news headlines does not seem to be a factor. Charlie Sheen was ranked 59 in the 2011 list, despite his acrimonious departure from television show "Two and A Half Men", and Lindsay Lohan was 18th despite being in an out of court and jail again this year.
The five most dangerous celebrities in cyberspace, according to McAfee are:

'Spartacus' star Whitfield dies of lymphoma at 39
LOS ANGELES (AP) — Andy Whitfield, who played the title role in the hit cable series "Spartacus: Blood and Sand," has died at age 39, according to representatives and family.
Whitfield died Sunday in Sydney, Australia, 18 months after he was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma, manager Sam Maydew told the Associated Press.
"On a beautiful sunny Sydney spring morning, surrounded by his family, in the arms of his loving wife, our beautiful young warrior Andy Whitfield lost his 18 month battle with lymphoma cancer," Whitfield's wife Vashti said in a statement. "He passed peacefully surrounded by love. Thank you to all his fans whose love and support have help carry him to this point. He will be remembered as the inspiring, courageous and gentle man, father and husband he was."
Andy Whitfield — who was born in Wales and moved to Australia in 1999 — was a virtual unknown when he was cast as the legendary Thracian slave in "Spartacus," a role made famous by Kirk Douglas in the 1960 Stanley Kubrick film.
The series proved a breakout hit for the Starz network and made waves with its graphic violence and sexuality.
Whitfield appeared in all 13 episodes of the first season that aired in 2010, and was preparing to shoot the second when he was diagnosed with cancer.
While waiting for Whitfield's treatment and expected recovery, the network produced a six-part prequel, "Spartacus: Gods of the Arena," that aired earlier this year with only a brief voiceover from the actor.
But in January after Whitfield's condition grew worse, the network announced that another Australian actor, Liam McIntyre, would take over the role.
"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our dear friend and colleague, Andy Whitfield," Starz President and CEO Chris Albrecht said in a statement Sunday night. "We were fortunate to have worked with Andy in 'Spartacus' and came to know that the man who played a champion on-screen was also a champion in his own life."
Whitfield's previous credits included appearances on the Australian TV shows "Packed to the Rafters" and "McLeod's Daughters."
