eva vs. katie vs. katherine

Eva Longoria, 36, donned the knee-length dress to the Padres Contra El Cancer Gala in Las Vegas on October 15. The owner of the restaurant Beso accessorized with nude peep-toe heels and a sexy updo.

Katie Cassidy, 25, debuted the design for the Alice + Olivia Spring 2012 show during New York Fashion Week in NYC on September 12. (Sorry, Katie, but this dress is just too gorgeous to think that no other celebs would sport it!) The former "Melrose Place" starlet styled the look with dark patterned heels, foot tattoos, hoop earrings, and her long locks loose.

Last but not least, Katharine McPhee, 27, sported the garment at the Malaria No More International Honors 5th Anniversary Benefit in NYC on November 6. The star of the upcoming NBC series "Smash" added strappy sandals by Jimmy Choo and a curly, down 'do.

5 Style & Beauty Lessons You Can Learn From Nicole Richie

Nicole Richie has come a long way from being Paris Hilton's bad girl BFF. These days, the mother-of-two is best known for her signature boho-chic style. In addition to designing for her House of Harlow accessories collection and Winter Kate clothing line, her sartorial sense recently earned her a spot as a judge on the upcoming NBC reality series, Fashion Star. In honor of Richie's 30th birthday, here are the top five ways to emulate her look.

1. Go for comfort and style. Though she always looks put-together, Richie insists it's more about feeling good than keeping up with the trends. "Comfort takes precedence for me," she has said. "All the shoes I design have a cushion and a platform."
2. Stock up on shades. The star has admitted to owning more than 200 pairs of sunglasses. "But in my defense," she told Teen Vogue, "I make sunglasses, so I have to research-shop, and I own every pair I've ever designed." The designer views sunglasses as "fun masks to accessorize your face."
3. Build on the basics. When she's not wearing a killer gown on the red carpet, Richie's go-to outfit is jeans and a tee, "But you change the look with accessories," she shares. "And by accessories, I mean sunglasses, head scarves, shoes and bed jackets."
4. Experiment with your hair. When Richie debuted a dark brown color in December 2009, she told Us Weekly she did it because she was "ready for a change." "I change my hair color all the time, and I hadn't done it in a few years," she said. "With the babies, I just really hadn't had time. I'm so used to having that change all the time, and I hadn't done it in about two years, so I was just ready and sick of being blonde!"

5. Buy vintage pieces. "I collect a lot of vintage kimonos and vintage bed jackets," she has said. "I'll throw those on, and a lot of the time it will appear that I'm wearing a completely different outfit, but I’m not."

Emma Watson
"Harry Potter" hottie Emma Watson channeled her inner punk upon arriving at the GQ Men of the Year Awards in London. The 21-year-old actress -- who's become quite the fashionista in recent years -- rocked the red carpet in a $750, tartan McQ mini, cropped biker jacket, and studded leather pumps, courtesy of Christian Louboutin.

Charlize Theron
Following in Emma's footsteps was Oscar winner Charlize Theron ("Monster"), who paired a Roland Mouret blouse with wide-leg trousers, Jimmy Choo sandals, and a chic updo. What do you make of the statuesque beauty's bold look? Hot or not?

Gwyneth Paltrow
Fellow Best Actress winner, Gwyneth Paltrow, was the epitome of elegance at the Venice International Film Festival premiere of her new thriller, "Contagion." The mom-of-two -- who turns 39 in three weeks -- turned heads in a blush pink Prada gown, which featured an organza bow on the back. A matching Prada clutch, Bvlgari earrings, and a side-swept 'do completed her flawless ensemble.

Gwyneth Paltrow
A glowing Gwyneth dressed to impress earlier that same day when she attended a "Contagion" press conference in a belted, pumpkin-hued Prada mini and $800 Nicholas Kirkwood peep-toes.

Selma Blair
The following afternoon, actress Selma Blair ("Hellboy") attended the "Dark Horse" press conference at the Venice Film Fest in a fashion-forward Roland Mouret frock, which featured pleated detailing and short, draped sleeves. Accessories -- which included gray pumps and minimal jewels -- were kept simple in order to let the emerald-colored dress take center stage.

Salma Hayek
The standout at Gucci's Women In Cinema soiree was undoubtedly screen siren Salma Hayek, who sported a one-shouldered, crystal-encrusted gown, which the Italian fashion house custom made for her.

Rose McGowan
2 Hot 2 Handle regular, Rose McGowan, makes her second consecutive appearance in the gallery thanks to the casual yet super-chic outfit she wore to dinner at Craig's in West Hollywood, California. Are you as big a fan of her vest-shorts combo as we are?

Sarah Jessica Parker
Last, but certainly not least ... Sarah Jessica Parker, who looked absolutely adorable at London's "I Don't Know How She Does It" press event in a summery Prabal Gurung dress, glittery Charlotte Olympia pumps, and perfectly tussled tresses.

Jessica Alba
New mom Jessica Alba -- who gave birth to her second daughter, Haven, a mere four weeks ago -- looked absolutely radiant upon arriving at the 2011 ALMA Awards on Saturday evening. The 30-year-old big screen star was all smiles as she posed in a stunning, strapless Michael Kors dress and spiky gold necklace.

Demi Lovato
Following in Alba's footsteps was former Disney darling Demi Lovato, who looked better than ever in a nude Maria Lucia Hohan gown. Gold bangles, a loose updo, and fresh makeup completed her flawless ensemble.

Megan Fox
Meanwhile, at the Toronto International Film Festival premiere of "Friends with Kids," Megan Fox turned heads in a strapless red Thakoon Resort 2012 mini, Brian Atwood "Zenith" heels, and a David Webb cocktail ring.

Angelina Jolie
Also spotted in Toronto ... Oscar winner Angelina Jolie, who attended the premiere of partner Brad Pitt's new movie, "Moneyball," in a dramatic, black satin Vivienne Westwood gown and gold Louis Vuitton clutch, which was attached to a matching cuff wrapped around her wrist.

Chloe Moretz
Like Madonna, actress Chloe Moretz's look featured long sleeves and sheer paneling. What do you make of the pint-sized star's Valentino blouse and leather skirt? Hot or not?

Keira Knightley

I am not a fan of her pose or pout, but I happen to love the floral, '40s-inspired Moschino Cheap & Chic Resort 2012 dress Keira Knightley wore -- along with nude pumps -- to a press conference for her upcoming movie, "A Dangerous Method."

Naomi Watts

Naomi Watts oozed elegance in a pale pink Nina Ricci gown upon arriving at the Deauville Film Festival premiere of "Crazy, Stupid, Love." The blond bombshell's accessories included suede Brian Atwood "Clayton" sandals, stacked gold cuffs, and a mirrored clutch.

Sarah Jessica Parker
Back in New York -- at the premiere of "I Don't Know How She Does It" -- star Sarah Jessica Parker showed up in a super sexy crocheted maxi dress, courtesy of Antonio Berardi. Pointy pumps, a black clutch, gorgeously waved tresses, and a summery tan solidified SJP's stellar look.

Jayma Mays
And last, but certainly not least ... "Glee" cutie Jayma Mays, who lit up FOX's annual Eco-Casino soiree in a lacy hot pink masterpiece and gray peep-toes. Best-dressed of the week? Let me know!
